We enjoyed the reception and listened with great attention to the young people concerning the approaching deer season. After Confirmation, we traveled to Subiaco where Abbot Raphael and Prior Felix warmly received us. On Friday morning, Mr. Schmuck drove me to St. Joseph's Church, Paris, to offer Mass for the school children. Father Paul, the devoted pastor, was prepared to receive us. Since it was First Friday, we spoke to the children of the love of the Heart of Jesus for them and the constant way in which they should return that love all the days of their lives. I stopped in to the 7th and 8th grades and once again lost my challenge at Tic Tac Toe. made to it. This family is closely associated with the Cursillo. I think there were at least forty adults and sixty children present for the Mass and for the blessing. We enjoyed a potluck supper afterwards. Then, like the grandparents, I hugged the children and returned safely and quietly to my home. Your friend, a Andrew J. L AFTER MASS, we drove through the countryside and crossed the Arkansas River at Morrison Bluff. We could not make that crossing without stopping at the Church to visit Father Francis who is a devoted Benedictine and a golden jubilarian in the priesthood. With great fervor, he told us of the prayerful struggle of the young boy Glen Weinsenfels with leukemia. Then we crossed the river and offered Mass at Holy Redeemer Church in Clarksville. Father Damian and his congregation assembled with the children and again we honored the Sacred Heart of Jesus. We enjoyed lunch with the children in the school cafeteria. In the afternoon,' we returned to Little Rock. On Saturday morning, Mr. Schmuck drove me to St. John's Church in Hot Springs to baptize the seventh child of Marguerite and Don Rhodes. Five years ago, their child was named Darby Andrew. This time the new baby is Destry John. Following a beautiful baptismal cermony witnessed by members of the family and the local prayer group, we went to the Benedictine Manor for a party. AB of us children enjoyed ice cream and cake. Then, we drove back to Little Rock during the afternoon. In the late afternoon, I went to the home of AIR+LAND+SEA TRAVEL, Inc.
