As a people of God we have been formed and transformed through our celebrations of the liturgy. We have moved from pas- Sive participants to actively cele- brating the Mass, sacraments and the Liturgy of the Hours in ways that have brought us into a deep- er experience of the mystery of god in our lives. These documents have brought us to a new understand- ing of the relationship between evangelization and catechesis, the role of conversion in the process of becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ, and the sense that all passing on of the Catholic traditions involve formation, October 24, 1998 69
