Bishop Fletcher dedicated the Carmelite Monastery in Little Rock in 1962. Catholicism. He grew up, with his Parents and three siblings, in Paris and Tontitown. In 1912 he etRered Little Rock College, then e tered St. John Seminary and was Bishop Fletcher attended holy year Celebrations in Rome in 1950. ordained a priest on June 4, 1920. After teaching at Little Rock College, Father Fletcher became its president in 1923. Seven years later, Bishop Morris made him vicar general. When he assumed duties as auxiliary bishop in 1940, he was thor- oughly acquainted with the diocese, its clergy, religious and laity.
