Meet Sister Felix:
The year 1903 was important to Sr. Felix Stoeger (94
years). It was the year her father moved the family to
Wisconsin from New York City. She became familiar
with the Sisters of St. Francis in Milwaukee. Sr. Felix
chose to serve Christ as a Franciscan. Over sixty years
were devoted to the apostolate of teaching. She states,
"Recently, a pupil I had in 1935 came to see me. It was
such a joy and a surprise...Imagine that!" Sister Felix
spent fifteen years with the developmentally disabled
adults at St. Coletta's. Today, she remains active --
knitting for the poor, walking, praying, reading and
visiting. With clear sighted wisdom she states confi-
dently, "Life has been good to me. I've enjoyed my life
in the Convent. I miss my friends from St. Coletta's --
they come to see me. They are so kind and loving."
