Aug. 14 - 16 - Catechetical Workshop, those involved in teaching doctrine on all levels. will include: "Some basic Catholic teaching for catechists," "Self concept," "Ideas for a liturgical Advent," "Practical catechetical methodology," "Group dynamics and the 'Share' pro- gram," " Confirmation and the RCIA," "Using clowns and mimes in catechedcal teaching" and "Faith vision for a new catechetical year." Credit towards diocesan teaching certification will be given. Registration is from 3 - 6 PM, Aug. 14. Cost for the enitire workshop is $55; for the day Wed., including two meals and two sessions, cost is $25. Aug. 31 - Sept. 2 - Facing Cults and Fundamentalism (The challenge of the 90's) with Fr. Gregory Pilcher, OSB. An overview of contemporary cults and fundamentalist groups with em- phasis on preparing clergy, religious and lay persons to respond to chal- lenges that are raised to the faith. Opportunity for discussion, role- playing, reflection and prayer will be provided. Cost for the weekend is $55.
