Maynard of Litde Rock, a retired Army officer and member of Holy Souls parish, is the new president of the Serra Club of Greater Little Rock. Maynard, special consultant to the chief executive of Union National Bank, succeeds Dr. FredJ. Kitfler, also a Holy Souls parish- ioner, as head of the 70-member organiza- tion of lay men and women which encour- ages vocations to the priesthood and reli- gious life. Col. Charles D. Both facilities, operated by the Sisters of Mercy, are located on the 72-acre St. Joseph Regional Health Center c3nlpus. Nabholz Construction Corp. of Conway is constructing the $75 milfion structure, believed to be one of the most modem and efficient health care support facilities in the country. The building is expected to be fully occupied upon opening in December. Maynard, who was head of the Little Rock District of the Army Engineers during con- struction of the Arkansas River navigation project, has served as a lector at Holy Souls and was a eucharistic minister and presi- dent of the Parish Council while a member of Christ the King parish in Little Rock. In 1986, he was named a Knight of the An- dent Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepul- chre. Maynard and his wife Angela have four grown children. Other Serra Club officers are John B. Parker, vice president for programs; Dou- glas W. Menz, vice president for member- ship; Stephen E Hoffman, vice president for vocations; John A. Thompson, vice president for communications; Richard Stephens, secretary;, and Frank W. Letzig Jr., treasurer. James F. Haley was elected to the Board of Directors. Msgr. James E.
