Box 7417 Little Rock, 72217 Repmtecl w~th permss~n of Variety 1990 CNS G'aphcs Another 48 Hours - Eddie Murphy, Nick Nolte. Action - R (language and profanity throughout, extreme vio- lence, crude humor). Even with all the shoot-em-ups and broken glass, most critics found it boring. If Murphy wants to remain a star, he'd better find a worthwhile script. Betsy's Wedding - Alan Alda wrote, directed and stars along with Molly Ringwald, Joey Bishop, Madeline Kahn and Ally Sheedy. Rated R (several uses of profanity and obscen- ity). Comedy about a man trying to make his "little girl's" wedding a success. Days of Thunder - Tom Cruise, Robert Duvall. Action - PC, q3 (sev- eral uses of obscenity and profanity, two sexual situations). The hottest movie star in the world set in the competitive world of NASCAR rac- ing. Diehard 2 - Bruce Willis. Action - R (extreme violence and language). Terrorism at an international airport. Gremlins 2 - Zach Galligan, Phoebe Cates. Adventure - PG-1$ (one profanity, implied the leads are living together without being mar- fled, but no sexual situations). Played more for laughs than scares, this tongue-in-cheek sequel goes over with kids. Even the little ones seemed unaffected by all the little goblins. TheJetsons: The Movie - Animated with rock and roll music. Rated G. Total Recall Arnold Sch- warzenegger. Sci/Fi - R (rough lan- guage and profanity throughout, some nudity and sexual situations, extreme violence and gore). Special effects are superior, the story itself exciting, but the violence becomes overwhelming and desensitizing.
