All Diocesan and priests share in your gifts. I --$25,000.00 goes to the Sisters' Welfare Fund )r sick and retired nuns. A formula of designed by the Sisters, is used to the funds alloted to each com- 7. D --$25,000.00 goes to the poor. This money is held by the Catholic Social Services and distributed to the poor as their needs are made known by local priests, Sisters, and lay people. E --$25,000.00 goes to the Mission Fund. These funds are used to assist mission churches and small parishes throughout the Diocese. F --$10,000.00 goes for the support of the Permanent Diaconate Program. This is used not only for the training programs but also to help the deacon candidates who are unable to defray their own expenses. G --$10,000.00 for the continuing education of the priests of the Diocese, mainly to cover the costs of seminars in theology and liturgy held for the benefit of our priests. H --$25,000.00 for the Guardian Press. This is to cover some of the increases in the cost of publishing in order to hold down, it is hoped, the cost of subscriptions.
